Let's Get This Project Started

I went to town this morning and bought a planner! That was step one in my organization goal! I'm sure I could have managed a cheaper, homemade version but since I'm so new to record keeping, I splurged on something that could help me to keep focused.

It's just your basic weekly/monthly planner. Since I wasn't sure exactly how much I would be recording, the only requirement I had for it was that it could be flexible. This is one that has pockets for receipts and lined spaces under the dates. A big bonus was the width of the date spaces where I can add my own columns if I decide to do that later.

I'm working on some add on pages for critter and garden records. Hopefully, this year (2016) I will manage to figure out what I doing and can use a binder system by next year(2017.)

I've chosen Ecclesiastes 9:10 as my inspirational verse for the next year.
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."

Happy New Year from my homestead to yours!

  1. Very Cool! I've kept a planner (Franklin Covey - I think you have to get it from their catalog or website) for the day job for something like 25 years. It's a combination of work stuff and personal stuff, but I don't do much of the homestead planning in it. I'll be interested in hearing how yours works out.

Tell me what you think, what you know, what you want to know. I love your comments! I read them all and will try to answer any questions.
