When we got home from morning worship we found one of our guinea hens was limping with a hurt foot. I'm not sure how she sliced it open but am very sure there is a risk of infection. So after weighing the options of treating the foot or putting her out of her misery, we decided it would be better to butcher her. This evening we will process our first bird. I'm very nervous about the whole thing, not about killing her but about doing it the right way. I've been you-tubing all afternoon and I hope we get it right. We've decided to use the skinning method since we are only doing one bird. I'll let you know how it works out tomorrow!
